CHESTERTON AFC

OFFICIAL CLUB WEBSITE

HISTORY

The club was formed in 1969 by the local publican of the Butchers Arms, Len Barnett who in 1972 moved to the Red Lion public house in Chesterton adopting the name Lion FC and the motto of Nulli-Secundas meaning "Second to none". Twenty years later (1992) the club changed it's name to Chesterton AFC to take in the local community.

In April 2023 the addition of a new female section was announced, a new female section committee formed and a new badge designed that honoured the existing men's section badge while having a significance to the female game.
